Art expression is particularly beneficial when verbal expression becomes difficult.

  • Jessica has specialized experience with applied behavioral analysis and individuals who have autism and other emotional and behavioral problems.

  • Art therapy combined with behavior modification techniques can help individuals discover a less confusing world from social and environmental difficulties. 

  • By developing and practicing emotional connectedness and effective communication, people achieve socially acceptable involvement.

Individual or Group Therapy:
Group sessions available for schools, group homes,
 retreat facilities, or other locations

         Child and adult services available

Accepting private pay. A sliding fee scale may be possible.

Jessica also works for a community support center with 
adults who have serious and persistent mental illness.

In addition to coordinating and facilitating activities, classes, and other therapy groups 
at the drop-in center, she facilitates the expressive art groups.  
Art groups include directed art activities as well as open studio activities. 
In addition to the therapeutic benefits of the creative process, 
individuals have the opportunity to display art- work on the gallery wall
 located in the drop-in center and on the agencies 
on-line gallery at www.ArtworksatSpectrum.org. 

Jessica also provides play, art, and talk therapy with children and families with emotional and behavioral problems at an elementary day treatment center in Hopkins, MN.

Jessica received a Master of Arts degree in counseling from Saint Mary’s University in Minneapolis and a Certificate in Art Therapy from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM. She is licensed as a Professional Counselor in MN.
