President
The President oversees meetings, promotes the meeting agenda and provides leadership to the board. They are expected to attend meetings communicate with members and commit to a minimum 2 year term. It is expected that the President is a Professional Art Therapist with current membership in AATA and MNATA.
President-Elect
The Vice President is a support to the President, their primary role is to support the leadership of the current President by attending meetings regularly and offering input. This position is expected to assume the role of President following their initial 2 year term. It is expected that the Vice President is a Professional Art Therapist with current membership in AATA and MNATA.
Secretary
The Secretary attends scheduled meetings, maintains the monthly minutes and an other documentation as required.
Treasurer
The treasurer partners with AATA in maintaining the financial accounting of MNATA, this would include oversight of the financial account and completing tax documentation. Treasurer will work closely with the Membership Chair. These two positions have been combined in the past as they have similar tasks.
Membership
The Membership Chair oversees and maintain the membership directory. Updating changes in membership (changes in levels of membership, address or contact information updates as needed). The Membership Chair will work closely with the Treasurer. These two positions have been combined in the past as they have similar tasks.
Programming Chair/Committee
The Programming Chair is responsible for promoting opportunities for professional development, special events and continuing education opportunities. This can involve multiple participants in which case the group would determine who would take the lead role.
Ethics Chair
The Ethics Chair is responsible for responding to questions and concerns raised regarding ethical issues.
Governmental Affairs Committee
The Governmental Affairs Chair works to promote Art Therapy on a State level; this may include obtaining State Licensure or Art Therapist and working with AATA GAC.
Website and Social Media
Website maintenance includes regularly posting links and updates and current events. Public Relations/ Marketing can also be a part of what this committee pursues on behalf of MNATA.

An Art Therapy graduate student who is interested in representing the student voices. Will regularly communicate with students and the board.
